A Fun Summer of Music in the Park

RHA hosted its first family-friendly "Music in the Park" mini-concert series at Redwood Heights Park, featuring local Bay Area bands this summer. We were so excited to bring something new to the park! It was fun to see so many neighbors at the park for a little music at dusk. We will do this again next summer. Be sure to check Music in the Park for updates or the Events page for other happenings.

June 16 | Jazzy Comedy Show

The Jazzy Comedy Show brings two soulful Bay Area artists - Jay Luck and Honey Gold Jasmine to serenade the audience with sweet lullabies. Rising stars in the R&B universe, they will literally make your heart flutter and your soul love again!

July 1 | Radio AFRO-FUNK

Radio AFRO-FUNK is an innovative band based in Oakland, CA that blends traditional music from Mali with contemporary soul and funk from Oakland. Featuring Mamadou Sidibe (N'goni) from Mali and Bobby Wallace (Percussion/Vocals and Redwood Heights resident) from Oakland.

July 15 | Mostly Marys

Mostly Marys is a quartet of acoustic musicians that bring rich harmonies and crisp playing to bluegrass, old-time, and other great music. They were a crowd favorite.

July 29 | One Nation

One Nation is a cover band that plays old-school funk and new-school R&B/hip-hop. Their goal is simple: have a party on the dance floor (or in our case, in the park). Everything from Chaka and The Ohio Players to Beyonce and Daft Punk.
