Neighbors Unite – June 22nd

Event Details

Let’s keep it going! The key to change is connection. While the pandemic has driven us apart physically, it is crucial that we still bring people together in small, but positive ways. Supporting our neighbors is one of those ways.

Join together on Monday June 22nd at 7:00 pm for a socially-distanced, family-friendly, peaceful display of unity anywhere on Redwood Road/35th Avenue (on the sidewalk), between Aliso and International Blvd.

At 7:15 pm, please kneel in silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. That’s the amount of time that George Floyd was pinned to the ground by a Minneapolis police officer before he died. We do this in memory of all victims who have been targeted, stereotyped, and oppressed because of their race in our country.

Wrap it up with cacerolazo*. Let’s make those pots and pans heard!
