Neighbors Unite

The key to change is connection. While the pandemic has driven us apart physically, it is crucial that we still bring people together in small, but positive ways. Knowing our neighbors is one of those ways.

Join together Monday, June 8th at 7:00 pm for a socially-distanced, family-friendly, peaceful display of unity on the sidewalks of Redwood Road/35th Avenue, between Aliso and International Blvd. At 7:15 pm, please kneel in silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. That’s the amount of time that George Floyd was pinned to the ground by a Minneapolis police officer before he died. We do this in memory of all victims who have been targeted, stereotyped, and oppressed because of their race in our country. Wrap it up with a sing-a-long of Lean on Me. Since the road is long, anyone can start the song. Let’s make our voices heard.
