Meet the candidates running for the California State Assembly District 18. This Special Election is for the seat previously held by Assembly Member Rob Bonta, now CA Attorney General. The following candidates are running in the special primary for California State Assembly District 18 on June 29, 2021, and participated in this forum:

The top two vote-getters move on to the Special General Election on August 31, 2021, regardless of party preference, OR a candidate can win outright by getting a majority of the vote (50 percent + 1) in the primary election.
