Plant Share: Swap Plants and Grow Our Community
Fall 2025
Fall is the perfect season for planting! Cooler temperatures and shorter days mean plants lose less moisture through their leaves, while the soil still holds warmth from summer, encouraging strong root growth. Giving your plants a head start now means they’ll be thriving by spring!
Whether your garden needs a seasonal refresh or you have extra cuttings to share, join us for the Redwood Heights Fall Plant Share. Bring a plant, take a plant—or both!
This free community event is a great way to connect with fellow plant lovers, exchange greenery, and discover new additions to your yard. There’s always a diverse selection, from perennials and succulents to cuttings and seeds.
We’ll have a variety of plants available, including succulents, cacti, rhizomes, agave, snake plants, echium, yucca, and more. Don’t forget to bring a box or bag to carry home your new finds!
All Oakland neighbors are welcome; volunteers are invited to sign up below. Let’s keep our community growing—one plant at a time!
