What is the Welcome Neighbor Program and its Purpose?
The Welcome Neighbor Program (WNP) is an initiative of the Redwood Heights Association. In this program, current residents (greeters) welcome new neighbors (both owners and renters) who move into the area and provide them with a packet of useful materials and information.
We believe that making this simple welcoming gesture to new residents builds community and will yield benefits for the community in the future.

What’s in the Welcome Neighbor Packet?
The packet includes welcome letters from the Association, District 4 Council member Janani Ramachandran, and Redwood Heights Elementary School Principal Cynthia Bagby; important community contact information for government, community, schools, and local businesses; an invitation to participate in Emergency Preparedness initiatives; brochures from the Oakland Public Library and Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, and more. We are also soliciting coupons for freebies and discounts from local businesses for new residents.
How Can You Get Involved?
You can support the program in three ways.
If you would like to get involved or get more information, please contact the WNP coordinator, Tim Iglesias at timiglesias59@gmail.com
