The Fancy Monkeys
🎶 Funky, Soulful, and Ready to Make You Move 🎶
The Fancy Monkeys are that funky, indie pop rock song you danced to the night you met the right people at the right time. With irresistible grooves, jazzy undertones, and infectious energy, this San Francisco-based band brings the kind of music that pulls you in and gets you moving.
Formed in 2023 by singer-songwriter Ariel Ongoco, The Fancy Monkeys started as a group of friends covering their favorite artists—from The 1975 to Lake Street Dive—and quickly found their own sound. One band member even grew up right here in Redwood Heights, making this homecoming performance extra special for our neighborhood.
Ariel’s heartfelt, story-driven songs capture everything from the quiet moments of his early 20s to the highs of big city nights. Whether you’re here for the intimate, soulful tunes or the big, dance-worthy anthems, The Fancy Monkeys invite you to get close, sing loud, and share in the joy of live music. With their debut EP on the horizon, now’s the perfect time to catch them in action.
Registration isn’t required, but we’d love to know you’re coming!

Steven Green & The Lifeline
🎶 Authentic and Eclectic Gospel, Pop, and R&B Styling 🎶
RHA proudly welcomes Oakland native Steven Green and The Lifeline to Music in the Park.
As the de facto house band at Bridge Storage, Arts & Events in Richmond, Steven Green and the Lifeline bring the party and the glory with their rich, gospel-infused mix of Motown, funk, soul, jazz, and blues. Every set is soulful, joyful, and magnetic.
The growth and popularity of this group over the last decade, across the country from Mississippi to Las Vegas and LA, at events and venues including Disneyland, Magic Mountain, clubs, diners, restaurants, churches, family celebrations, and community gatherings is a testament to their infectious charisma and appeal. They don’t just play the room—they elevate it.
Ask them for Route 66 or Dancing in the Streets. You won’t regret it. You don’t want to miss “the dopest singing group in the bay area — Steve Green and the Lifeline.
