More than 1 billion people in 192 countries now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

We invite you to participate and help further climate action worldwide. Oakland is celebrating its 31st Earth Day on April 19th, and RHA is hosting an Earth Day event at Redwood Heights Park.

Join us for a day of hands-on community care as we refresh and rejuvenate the park! Together, we’ll trim the large succulents along the fire road, clear out overgrown ivy near the swing set to uncover hidden blooms and add fresh black mulch to keep the garden beds thriving. We’ll also plant roses in memory of Ms. Rose and find the perfect spot for 50 donated bulbs to bring new life to the space. Your participation helps preserve vital butterfly habitats, keep the park looking its best, and create a more inviting space for everyone to enjoy. Let’s make a lasting impact—one plant at a time!
