Water main breaks are disruptive to everyone impacted by them. EBMUD is proactively replacing its pipelines to improve water service, reduce water loss and the number of pipeline breaks in the service area. In the East Bay, 4,200 miles of pipelines, under bustling neighborhoods and busy streets, deliver high-quality water to 1.4 million customers.
After the series of main breaks in the Jordan Road area earlier this year, East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) made some changes to the timeline and scope of pipeline work. In this meeting, EBMUD staff provided information about its Pipeline Rebuild Program, and the timeline and scope of work for the upcoming pipeline work in the Redwood Heights area.
Learn more about their plans from this online meeting presented on December 10, 2020.
