After a series of water main breaks in Redwood Heights, especially the Jordan Road area late last year, East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) made some changes to the timeline and scope of pipeline work planned in Oakland. On December 10, 2020, it presented the preliminary plan to replace pipelines in the Redwood Heights neighborhood. This work will improve water service, reduce water loss, and pipeline breaks in the service area.
On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, the EBMUD staff reviewed the Pipeline Rebuild program, provided an updated timeline, gave us additional details on the scope of the work planned in Redwood Heights, and answered questions from attendees. Learn more about the plan by watching the video of the event.
