Movies in the Park at Redwood Heights Recreation Center
Every summer, the Recreation Center hosts several movies in the park at 3883 Aliso Ave. in Oakland. It's a low-key affair, bring your chair, a blanket, and bug spray. Movies begin at dusk on the lawn outside the recreation center. Popcorn and hot chocolate are available for sale, and proceeds support scholarships for the center's after-school programs and summer camp. This is a great community event!
Unlike in years past, movie licensing fees are now required. RHA is helping out the Rec Center by collecting donations to enable this great event to continue in the future.
